Learning Challenge: Positive Thinkers

In the article "Turning Negative Thinkers into Positive Thinkers" by Jane E. Brody the idea that being negative or being around negative people can also cause you to feel negative and can create depression was further confirmed for me. Additionally, one new thing I learned is that the brain is really pliable or plastic. You can adjust the circuitry or pathways of the brain with repetitive practice or training. An example was provided where 6 weeks of training around meditation, compassion and kindness improved the function of the patient's main nerves that control heart rate. So with this positivity training, their heart rate was controlled.
